  • Lymphatic
  • Classic
  • Hawaiian
  • Gua sha
  • Cranio Sacral Therapy

How often should I have sessions?

It varies from individual to individual and depending on the condition of muscles.

  • But generally if you just want to relieve pain or discomfort in your body, 1 or 2 massages are enough.
  • If you are looking to cure muscle problems it requires more sessions. I recommend taking massage in courses. An average course consists of 10 massages (2-3 times a week) in a row. A consistent and regular massage with short periods between sessions relaxes muscles layer by layer and each time allows me to work with deeper layers of muscles, where usually the pain and discomforts are located.
  • After completing a course you should take a break lasting from 2 weeks to a month. Since the body is a self regulating system your body will process the work that has been done to your muscles and you will feel the final effect of the massage course. The course can be repeated if necessary. After that your muscles will be cured and you can come once or twice a month for a maintenance massages.
  • If  during the course you do massages with long  intervals in between sessions (once every 2 weeks or longer) then each time I will work only with surface levels of muscles and the effectiveness of such massage is decreased.

This is why I recommend to do a course of 10 massages in a row (2-3 times a week)  rather than go once a month for 10 months.

What to expect from viktor's massage?

If you need to get rid of pain and discomfort in your body, then come to me. If you are looking for quiet music and a dark room, then my ambiance most likely will not suit you. I like to perform massage to more energetic music than is usually expected and in a bright room. You will not be offered additional services here such as warm collars, aroma oils, etc.

Deep Tissue Recovery Center is a place where I want to help people who suffer from:

  • headaches
  • stiffness in joints
  • pain in the lower back and limbs
  • pain in jaws
  • pain in glutes
  • limbs numbness
  • pain when turning or tilting the head
  • back pain and more.

Viktor's massage is for those who experience a feeling of stiffness both in individual muscles and throughout the body. My slogan is "Spread Your Wings". Come to me and I'll fix you!

How soon can i work out after a massage?

I recommend to start serious training no earlier than 2 weeks after the massage course is finished so you can feel the full effect of it. You should give your body time to heal and regulate processes in soft tissues after the massage. After that I would recommend to implement stretching into your workout routine and stretch muscles no less time that you spend on strength training.

Why are my muscles tense and it hurts?

Muscle problems do not appear out of nowhere and usually many people have had them for a long time (from several months to several years) in their body, but they do not know about it until a certain time.

Stress, sudden muscle strain as a result of an uncomfortable movement, long static loads, muscle overtraining, these and other factors, as a rule, are the trigger for the transition from the latent  phase of muscle problems to the acute phase.

Muscles have a huge reserve of strength, but if a muscle is in a tense state for a long time, then sooner or later it begins to “scream SOS” and only then a person begins to feel pain and discomfort.

In such a muscle (or part of the muscle) the metabolism is reduced, the blood circulates poorly, and accordingly the muscle (part of the muscle) does not receive enough nutrition/oxygen.

Tense areas can form in the bundles of muscle fibers , which are called trigger points, which are capable of spasming the entire muscle. Such muscle loses functionality, weakens, cannot fully stretch or contract. As a result, neighboring muscles partially take on their load and after some time also begin to overstrain/get tired.

Later, the muscles become fibrotic, that is, the muscle tissue is replaced by connective tissue (analogous to scar tissue) and the muscles completely lose their elasticity. The fascia (protective film for muscles and various organs) around the muscles that are not working at full strength "stick together" and this can also cause discomfort and pain. It is not possible to cure such problems with medication. Mechanical work is necessary. Victor's massage is aimed at working with such problems.

For a more in-depth look at this topic, I recommend reading the books: Trigger Point Therapy for Myofascial Pain - by Donna Finando & Steven Finando and Anatomy Trains - by Thomas W. Myers.

Is it painful?

If a muscle is tense, then pressure on it will cause pain or discomfort. If a muscle is healthy and relaxed, then any pressure will not cause any pain.

In my work, I try to work on the fine line between comfort and discomfort for each patient. Sometimes my work can cause discomfort, but this happens briefly and not throughout the entire massage session.

What should i wear?

Bring a sportswear (shorts/top). Or you can lie under the sheet to receive a massage that I will provide.

can you do a massage at my location?

Yes, right now I only offer mobile massages..
